Term Certificates or Certificates of Deposit

Term Certificates or Certificates of Deposit (CDs) are special savings accounts which have a specific term with an interest rate for that specific term. FVCU currently offers 7 different terms, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, 36 months, 48 months, and 60 months. There is a substantial penalty for early withdrawal, and fees could reduce both earnings and principle on the account. Some exclusions or limitations may apply.
